Sasha Dees is the first curator in residence at Uniarte in our brand new location in otrobanda, Curaçao.
Sasha Dees founded her production company in 1998 and has worked as an independent producer, curator and writer in all art disciplines, visual art, performing arts, literature and film ever since. Dees works with numerous artists and art-organizations internationally; producing, programming and scouting talent for a range of venues and festivals as well as advising on projects, exchanges and collaborations. Next to her own company, she is the co-founder (with Philip Powel) of John106 (2003). Dees’ is currently working on a book based on her research she did from November 2017 until May 2018 in 15 islands in the Caribbean region.
