Dékada
Uniarte is celebrating its 10 years of existence and the incredible artists that have collaborated with us in 2020 in a group exhibition called Dékada. After 10 years of a new status for the islands there is much to reflect on, both politically and artistically. The diverse group of artists exhibiting their work not only collaborated in the creation of this group exhibition, but developed and contributed to their own bodies of autonomous work- a challenge to maintain sustainably. Ultimately, they are artists that commit to the values of autonomous thinking beyond creation. We fully believe in the importance of providing the time and space for each artist to bring to the table a new perspective and reflection on their topic of interest, especially in these times of crisis. Dékada is planned to be a free event and welcoming of the entire island community. Of course, due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic and its effects on our island, more details will be given closer to the event.
